PopCoins® introduces Scorpio in the Zodiac Aquarelle Coin Series, capturing the sign’s mystery, intensity, and emotional depth through a rich watercolor inspired composition. Struck in 1 oz of pure silver with a 40 mm diameter and finished in flawless proof quality, the design centers on a beautifully stylized scorpion in deep blue tones against a vibrant crimson and pink background. Floral elements, celestial symbols, and delicate astrological details soften the powerful central motif while creating the distinctive artistic character of the Aquarelle collection. Issued as legal tender by Ghana, this elegant release offers a fresh interpretation of one of astrology’s most fascinating signs. Available now at PopCoins® distributors worldwide.
Coin description
The reverse features a stylized aquarelle depiction of a scorpion in deep shades of blue, enhanced with decorative spiral details and fine golden accents. Large flowers frame the composition on both sides, while the Scorpio glyph, planetary symbolism, a gemstone motif, stars, and the Scorpio constellation appear throughout the vivid pink celestial background. The name “SCORPIO” is positioned at the bottom, while the outer ring displays all twelve zodiac symbols.
The obverse side of the coin features the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Ghana at its center. Surrounding the Coat of Arms is a complete zodiac calendar, with all twelve zodiac icons arranged in a circular pattern. The inscriptions include: “REPUBLIC OF GHANA” (the issuing country), “2026” (the year of issue), and “FIVE CEDIS” (the face value).
Background information
The Zodiac is an ancient astrological system dividing the sky into twelve signs associated with constellations and different periods of the year. Developed from Babylonian astronomy and later shaped by Greek traditions, the zodiac became closely connected with ideas about personality, symbolism, and human experience. Its twelve signs remain widely recognized today and continue to influence art, culture, and astrology around the world.
Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac and generally covers October 23 to November 21. Represented by the scorpion, it is traditionally associated with Mars and, in modern astrology, also with Pluto. Scorpio is a fixed water sign linked with intensity, determination, transformation, loyalty, and emotional depth. People born under Scorpio are often described as perceptive, passionate, and resilient, with a strong instinct for uncovering what lies beneath the surface.
